Holly Jones kept the ball moving in Port Neches-Groves’ regular-season finale, and the Rock-A-Noos took advantage of what she served up.
Jones had 23 assists, Kaitlyn Gil finished with 17 kills, and the Indians finished a 25-13, 25-16, 25-22 sweep of Vidor on Tuesday in Port Neches. Jones also served 13 points, coming up with an ace.
Liz Bolyard had 10 kills, while Layla Stansbury and Jones each finished with two for PNG (32-6, 10-2 in 21-5A), which settled for the second seed in the district after Friday’s loss to Barbers Hill that would have kept hopes of at least a share of the 21-5A championship alive.

Gil earned a double-double with 12 digs. Halley Smith dug nine, while Bayja Newby and Kasidee Sartin each had eight.
Gil and Stansbury each registered three blocks, and Maylin Louvier had two. Gil served nine points, while Smith and Sartin each had eight (each had an ace).

PNG’s playoff matchup has yet to be announced.
