Rojas’ 31 Leads Indians’ Attack Over Bulldogs

Drake Rojas is getting hard to stop these days. Rojas turned in another stellar game on Port Neches-Groves’ home court Tuesday, leading the Indians with 31 points in a 69-54 win over Kelly. The last time Rojas took the PNG court, he poured in 40 in a win over Little Cypress-Mauriceville. The senior guard is now averaging 31.6 points, given his 24-point performance last week at West Brook.

Jackson Simmons had 14 and Noah Marchak 12 for the Indians (2-1). Asaad Bodden led Kelly with 16 points.
PNG will take on West Brook again at 4 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the Nederland/YMBL Classic at Nederland High.


Girls: PNG 63, Anahuac 35

In Anahuac, Maylin Stampley put her stamp on the Indians’ 28-point rout with 21 points.
Chelsea Carrillo had 12 points and seven rebounds, Mollee Priddy also had 12 points and Shelby Letulle totaled nine points and six rebounds for PNG, which plays next in the Evadale tournament.
